Rather lovely temple with a highlight of a rock carving (on the hill surface?) In the main hall. The unique waterfalls are nice too and it seems like you can opt for a special prayer session under the waterfall.

Lovely mossy area, serene temple, definitely worth a visit. The massive stone Fudo-myō image is really impressive.

About 1 hour drive from bullet train Kurobe unazuki onsen station. Beautiful quiet place to visit.

Went in November and the autumn colors were a beautiful backdrop for the nissekiji temple. There were few to no crowds of foreign tourists which gave it a sense of calm and serenity. Well worth the effort trekking out of the major city to Toyama prefecture. My absolute favorite experience in Japan.

Amazing temple. Lots of different things to see. I didn't brave the under waterfall prayer session in the snow, but I think in summer it would be a wild experience. multiple buildings and a really cool tall pagoda. Definitely worth a visit. They sell lots of different prayer/new year's style paraphernalia if that's what you are into!
