Driving for one and half hour from Okayama City. A pretty farm is well matching with the nature environment. The road is very narrow, it is not a tourist area, no indication for the best view or walking path. We didn’t drive to too many place, as we didn’t want to give trouble to the farmers. We came at May for visiting.

The road to the rice terraces is a bit difficult as there are many narrow uphill slopes. parking? There is a slightly wider area on the shoulder of the road and a place that looks like a toilet rest area. I can't say much about it now that the rice harvest has finished, but depending on the time of year it can be very beautiful. The rice terraces are wide, so what angle do you look at them from? place? It might be a little difficult to choose. There are various scarecrows placed in plaza-like places. The pink flowers are also blooming and are beautiful. Also, there are wild animals like grasshoppers, frogs, snakes (even wild boars...) wandering around, so be sure to take care of them!

There are several rice terraces around this area, but I think the rice terraces in Dana Hexi are the most worth seeing. Other rice terraces have a similar feel, but the rice terraces here have a mortar-shaped topography that makes them unique. It has been well taken care of overall. You can see various views from various directions, from top to bottom. It's also easy to access. Of course you need a car. Although it depends on the route, you can take relatively wide roads. There are very few places where cars cannot pass each other.

Last year, I entered from the old Asahi-cho side and got lost, so this time I headed from National Route 53. There were some narrow spots, but overall it was a comfortable road (^^) Next time I would like to visit before harvesting (^^)

It says that you can go around by car, but I gave up on it because I didn't know the way. I went to the place where it said it would be most visible and took some photos. There is a private parking lot and a restroom, so you can park your car and take a walk.
