Maybe the most beautiful temple I have seen. Incredible. Everything there worth a visit. The ticket price is 800y. Usually crowded but you have a lot of space to visit each part of the temple. Take your time and enjoy.

Incredible must-see temple. The sheer size of the buildings and statues is remarkable. It really takes you back and wonder how it was built. The museum has some amazing artifacts in it but your not allowed to take pictures inside.

It's a great place to see a lot of history. It was strange seeing a man praying fervently and tourist almost pushing him around to get a better view. I hope most of the proceeds go to keeping the place up and not going into the pockets of people.

Stunning engineering of the temple. From far away it looks smaller that its actual size. The Buddha located inside the temple is around 15 meters tall and has guardians on the sides. The place is magical: incense smell and smoke create a unique atmosphere. You can ask for you 御朱印 (stamp) here! You can choose from two tickets: temple only or temple + museum. I chose the one with the museum and honestly I had higher expectations. It wasn't that bad but I've seen far better ones. Enjoy it!

My favourite place during my trip in Japan. We visited multiple shrines/monuments (between Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka....) but this place took the first place for me. You need to pay to enter but is worthy, the place was immaculate in terms of preservation and you can get amazing photos in there. The Buddha and outside statues are impressive for their dimensions and they have a brief story about the temple (construion and reconstruction) There is multiple shops inside that you can get souvenir too
