A beautiful shrine surrounded by nature. We parked our car in the free parking in the back and from there it is an easy walk to access the shrine which is also free. Walking around was very pleasant and not many people were around there at the time of our visit. The site definitely offers a lot of opportunities to take nice pictures! I would definitely recommend stopping by if you are visiting this area. The overall stay was around an hour for us.

Nice place. Free entry. Lots of things going on. Nice settings for beautiful pictures. Come early in the day as less people. The car park is quite large and on the day I went it was free.

Osaki Hachiman Shrine is located in the west side of Sendai city. It is a beautiful shrine that has similar design with Zuihōden Temple. The shrine features a combination of black and gold as its primary theme. Additionally, lighter colors are cleverly incorporated to enhance its visual appeal. As you approach the shrine, the road leading to it is equally attractive. Lanterns were hanging along path, creating a serene atmosphere. During your visit, keep an eye out for the chickens. You might encounter chickens wandering around the shrine grounds. Overall, Osaki Hachiman Shrine is worth a visit for its distinctive design and relaxing atmosphere.

This shrine is famous and absolutely beautiful with stunning views. You'll need to climb some stairs to get to the main area, but if you can't take stairs, there's an easier entrance from the car park. You can hop on the loop bus or by the route 870 bus, (If you are taking the 870 bus, then you can get down near the car park entrance) If you are taking the stairs I would recommend 45 mins for the visit. It's a beautiful spot for everyone to enjoy.

Center of Shinto belief in Sendai. Best views for all seasons. Mild amount of staircase to climb before entering the main building. Special collection of sports team prayers on display. Clean and modern bathroom available for the visitors to use. What a great summer day visit!
