Beautiful Blue-life

The shrine can be seen from the Osaka Castle Park Station side of the inner loop platform of the JR Loop Line. I thought about going down once, but I never had the chance. When viewed from the platform, Kakagimori Shrine looks like a large shrine. This is the origin of the surrounding place names Morinomiya and Morinomiya.
When I went there on July 4, 2024, I found that the site was rectangular, long from north to south, and not very thick from east to west. The reason I wanted to see it was because there was a pine tree that was associated with a certain venerable religion. Because it's in an ukiyo-e collection called Naniwa Hyakkei.
A shrine located in Morinomiya Chuo, Chuo Ward, Osaka City.
As I was about to return to the airport after sightseeing in Osaka, I learned that there was a shrine in front of Morinomiya Station, so I decided to visit it.
This shrine was founded by Prince Shotoku, and his parents and Prince Shotoku are enshrined here.
Although it is a small shrine surrounded by buildings, it is a proper shrine. The shrine building, wash basin, and torii gate are also magnificent, and there is also an Inari shrine. There are also benches so you can take a break.
The crow is a non-Japanese bird that lives in the Korean Peninsula and northern China. It was given to the bird by a messenger who returned from Silla during the Asuka period, and was kept in the forest that once existed in this area, which is why it is called the crow forest. It seems like it is.
There are also gift items such as goshuin stamps, amulets, votive tablets, and fortune slips.
It is the only shrine in Japan that enshrines Prince Shotoku and his parents (Emperor Yomei and Princess Anahobe), and is said to have been the origin of Shitennoji Temple before it was built, and is also mentioned in the Nihon Shoki. This is Kasagi Morinomiya, a shrine with a long history.
Nowadays, the precincts cannot be described as spacious, but it is said that it once had a vast sacred territory.
The company's name comes from the fact that in 598 A.D., the founder of the iron industry, Kishino Iwakane, presented two magpies from Silla. It is said to be the national bird and considered to be an auspicious bird.
In the precincts, there are also monuments with poems by Ieyamochi Otomo and monuments with poems praising the Nekoma River.
The place name "Morinomiya", which is also the name of the station, is derived from this place, but it seems that very few people, even Osaka residents, know of its existence.
By the way, I didn't know how to pronounce Prince Shotoku's mother's name, but when I looked it up, it turned out to be ``Anahobe no Hashihito no Himemiko.'' Father's answer is ``Yomeitenno''.
Right from Morinomiya Station on the Osaka Metro Chuo Line 👣
Although it is small, it has a very cozy and refreshing atmosphere.
The deity enshrined is Emperor Yomei (father of Prince Shotoku)
Empress Anahobe (mother of Prince Shotoku)
Prince Shotoku
This shrine has a history of 1,400 years, and is a very rare shrine where Prince Shotoku and his parents are enshrined.
The shrine was founded by Prince Shotoku, and Usumorinomiya Shrine is even mentioned in the Nihon Shoki, making it a very historic shrine.
Although it is such a prestigious shrine, it is easy to drop by and you will be greeted warmly.
Visited in June 2024.
I was close enough to take a peek.
The precincts are well cleaned and beautiful.
If you look diagonally down and to the left in front of the offering box in the shrine, you will see a small frog statue in the corner.
The atmosphere matched the cloudy weather, and I looked at it for a while.
