A gate between the Honmaru and Ninomaru. Strong construction. It seems that it was a meeting place for retainers heading to the lord of the domain. During the war, salt was stored on the first floor. This, like the Otemon gate, is from that time.

Tsume-mon is a gate that separates the dry moat on the first floor, and a bridge corridor on the second floor that connects the Ninomaru and Honmaru. Three tatami-floored rooms were set up on the north side of the corridor, and they were designated as tsume-mon (gate gates) because they were divided according to their social status: chief retainers, middle-ranking elders, and common samurai. There is also a mezzanine floor between the first and second floors, but it has no windows and is just a storage room. It is also the gate that separates the east (Sannomaru) and west (Plum Steps) of the castle.

Go up the stone steps from the Otemon gate and the Watari-mon gate will appear in front of you. It is located between the stone walls of Ninomaru and Honmaru, and serves as a passageway connecting Ninomaru and Honmaru.

It was built across the dry moat between Honmaru and Ninomaru, and its former name was said to be ``Hashi Corridor''. The upper floor was used as a station for samurai who entered the castle, so it is now called ``Tsumemon.''
