Stairs were very, very easy to climb since there was a handrail, and most of the steps were cemented. Note that there is an admission fee. Goodluck!

It was more than 1000 steps to climb up to the top and visit the temple. It was not that hard but elderly and children will struggle. But the view from the top is worth it 😸

Excellent place to visit. Multiple temples as you climb to the top. The downtown area has nice local shops, food options, and wonderful matcha coffee ce cream.

The abundant steps leading up to the Rissyakuji temple complex. Stone and concrete steps, but it’s a significant climb up, so wear appropriate footwear. Take a bottle of water, especially on a summer’s day.

Even when challenging the experience is very relaxing and zen. You feel connectedto nature in a very spiritual way
