The Ryogoku Bridge offers an exceptional vantage point to celebrate the Awa Odori festival. Its prime location provides a front-row seat to the lively dance performances and colorful parades that define this traditional Japanese festival. The bridge’s elevated position ensures unobstructed views of the energetic dancers and their intricate costumes, while also allowing visitors to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the festivities from a comfortable and accessible spot. The surrounding area is well-organized, with plenty of food stalls and amenities, making it easy to fully immerse yourself in the celebration. Overall, the Ryogoku Bridge is an ideal location to experience the Awa Odori in all its spirited glory.

It was Awa Odori, so the whole town was buzzing with energy. There weren't that many people at lunch, but It was crowded with many people from the evening.

A statue of Awa Odori is placed at the entrance of the bridge. It's a great place for commemorative photos. The Shinmachi River seen from here is calm with no waves and looks like a moat. It looks like a pleasure boat is leaving from the foot of this bridge.

It seems that it got this name because it was a bridge on the old border. Currently, it is a bridge connecting the station and the downtown area. It is one of the main venues for the Awa Odori festival, and there are bronze statues of male and female dancers on both ends of the bridge, as well as Awa Odori motifs on the railings, making it a fun bridge to cross. At first glance, you can feel Awa Odori.
