[Hoshigayama Park “Satsuki no Sato”] Walk recommendation level 4.0/5 points. I went there on June 8, 2024. It looks like more than one Tokyo Dome is covered with Satsuki flowers (red, pink, purple). Unfortunately, it was about to end. I felt refreshed as I could see the Sagami Sea from the observation deck. I think it's worth going at least once for that alone. You can see the whole place in about 30 minutes. It's not enough as a single walking spot. A free shuttle bus runs only during this time when the Satsuki flowers are in bloom. There are 50,000 Satsuki plants blooming on the large grounds.

A beautiful spot overlooking Cape Manazuru. There is a parking lot for cars and a motorcycle storage area, and there are bells and doors everywhere.

I went when the Satsuki was in full bloom. Although it is located at the top of a narrow and steep slope, it is in a location overlooking the Manazuru Peninsula with a great view. I also appreciate that it's free.

Satsuki trees are in full bloom all over the vast grounds. It looks like a park built with the cooperation of the local community. Since it was Satsuki season, there was a free bus service. The view is outstanding on a hill overlooking the sea! It's a bit of a shame, as it could be a spot on par with Bairin if they were to make some improvements, but as a user, it's a blessing because you can have a fun time without being crowded. It's fun to see door-like objects and bells everywhere.
