☆ “Kankaimon” = main gate, “Kyukeimon” = side gate, gate used by people who usually go in and out of “Shuri Castle” 😄 The shape of the gate is exactly like Kankaimon, the turret gate with a turret on top of the stone gate, and the surrounding clothed stone walls are quite impressive and impressive👀 The opening of the stone gate is 3.93m high x 2.88m wide, and the turret is a gabled roof with real tiles. ☆Additional attractions...There is a stone gutter with a small opening from which the water inside the castle flows out outside the gate, and it's fun to discover things like this😄 It was originally built between 1477 and 1526 during the reign of King Sho Shin, but it was burnt down during the Pacific War and was restored in 1983 (Showa 58). It is now the exit for those visiting Shuri Castle 🚶

Come out of Shuri Castle and start walking down. When you exit the Youye Gate, you will see Kukei Gate on the right.

This gate was previously used as a side gate. Next to this is Kansuikawa Okegawa (spring water).
