I visited on April 11, 2024, and I was very lucky to find this place. Although the cherry blossoms had fallen a lot, the scenery was still beautiful. With many deer together, everyone was busy taking photosπŸ˜€πŸŒΈπŸ‘

This is a recommended spot where you can see many of the cherry blossoms that Daisuke Ise wrote in his poem, ``I wonder if the cherry blossoms here smell slimy.'' The best time to see them is around April 20th. Around April 10th, you can see the very similar Japanese oak cherry tree. Both varieties are unique to Nara. The flowers are similar, but they bloom at different times, so it's not hard to tell them apart, but if you want to easily tell them apart, it's best to look at the sepals on the back of the flowers, and cherry blossoms generally have 5 sepals. There are 10 pieces in the oak tree. The Narano-kokonoe cherry tree blooms at the same time as the Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms, so it is not very famous, but it is very elegant and is said to be prettier than the Naranoya-ezakura cherry tree. On 24/04/19, I went out to see Naranoyaezakura. The change in color was beautiful: pink in the buds, white at the beginning of bloom, and pink as the bloom progressed. The Japanese oak cherry tree, which blooms around April 10th, had disappeared, probably because of the thunderstorm the other day. Nearby, there was a so-called double cherry tree with large flowers, but the Naranoyaezakura looked more elegant.

2022.04.11 Nara Park is widely known as a cherry blossom viewing spot, but this is a hidden spot where the Nara Kokonoe cherry blossoms bloom. It blooms flowers similar to Nara Yaezakura, but its leaves also sprout at the same time as the flowers bloom. The popularity is quite low.
